Gingerbread time!
Installing the official update for the Samsung Galaxy SCL i9003 from Froyo to Gingerbread (2.3.5) has been the smoothest update process I ever made. Just a click, and in less than five minutes all was done.
All the settings have been kept, and also all installed apps (included those, ehm, not on the market 
).
The first feeling is that the new system is more responsive, and the camera works better.
Kudos to Samsung for making a geek happy.
